MEET THE DIRECTOR

Kimani A. Taylor

Welcome to my intersection of the internet! A space of the Internet where stories, emotions, culture, commentary, creativity and self-discovery collide.

I'm Kimani Taylor, the storyteller, creative and lifelong observer of the world around me. I've always been fascinated by the emotions behind the moments we experience--- the memories we carry, the identities we shape, the masks we develop, and the stories that makes us who we are or who we want to become.

Here, I explore the intersections of womanhood, Black culture, art, healing, and the beauty found in everyday life.

AngelInReelTime is a living archive of thoughts, perspectives, and moments where I explore the beauty of human experiences through writing, film, and conversation.

A Letter From the Director

Throughout childhood, adolescence and now adulthood, I was always deeply passionate, whimsical, bubbly and emotionally aware. For years, I've felt misunderstood by the majority. Especially as a young Black woman, having to fight off all of the negative stereotypes. My tears have been mistaken for weakness, and my passion for aggression. This feeling has often left me to feel as though I didn’t belong, as if there was something wrong with me.

However, reality has proved to me that those experiences didn’t break me—they built me. Every trial, every misstep, every moment of feeling unseen has shaped me into a woman who is grounded, empathetic, and unshakably confident. Today, I wear my emotions with pride, knowing that my softness is my strength, my voice has power, and my boundaries are sacred.

AngelInReelTime was launched in 2026, to create a space that fellow intuitive people can engage in thoughtful conversations, sharing both their highs and lows. A space where vulnerability, nuance, and deep conversations are celebrated. Where Black people, especially Black women can feel seen and celebrated. I built this blog because community and having a safe space to express one's self is key. Let's keep the conversations real, raw and genuine.

Sensitivity is Divinity.
